How can You Profit from Resale Rights Products?

Basic Resale, (Resell) Rights

An author will typically sell the Basic Resale Rights to his output for about double the normal selling price. This gives you the right to sell on the article, ebook or software with no changes. In an affiliate program, you would just get traffic to your affiliate link, they fulfill the sales and you would get 50 to 60% commission.

With private label resell rights, you have to pay upfront for the rights, host the sales page yourself and fulfill the orders. For that you get to keep 100% of the selling price. It may seem like a lot of extra effort considering that the ebook still contains the authors name and links.

Master Resale Rights

For an extra cost, you can get the rights to sell on either Basic or Master Resale rights to others. The resale rights may be bundled with the product or used as an upsell. This means that you can charge a higher price for the product and increase your profit.  However, your market will be severely reduced. The number of people who will want resell rights to the product is likely to be much lower than those who want it for their own use.

You will also be marketing to marketers so your sales page will need to be very persuasive and convince them that they can make sales with it.

Rebrand Rights

Rebrand Rights allow some or all of the affiliate links in the product to be replaced with the buyers. A rebrander can be provided with the product or rebranding can be offered as a premium service.  This can be used as an incentive for people to pass on a free report with your name or your own links in it.

Private Label Rights

Private Label Rights can range from being allowed to claim authorship of a product, to complete freedom to to edit the content, graphics, sales page etc and re-use the content in a variety of ways. Private label rights offer the easiest way to have your own totally unique product in the marketplace. Private label rights ebooks are very easy to modify.

For each type of PLR content, the terms vary. Each individual product will be supplied with a licence and it is important to check what you are allowed to do with it.
